Description:

APCO will be organising the New Fundamentals of Osteoporosis: Enhancing Clinical Excellence course. The course will take place online via Zoom from 7 to 8 February 2026. We welcome clinicians across Asia Pacific and beyond.

This 13-hour course split over 2 days will cover 13 modules designed and taught by Expert Faculty, providing a comprehensive foundation in osteoporosis prevention, diagnosis, and management. The course is a newly launched training course intended to replace the earlier “IOF ISCD Osteoporosis Essentials (OE)” course, which has been officially discontinued.
Key distinctions relative to the older Osteoporosis Essentials:

  • The Fundamentals course offers more practical guidance and integrates more current evidence.
  • The new course retains elements of bone densitometry (DXA/imaging) in its modules, but it emphasizes clinical context and management rather than deep technical detail.

The course fee is USD 250, which includes the mandatory IOF online exam fee of USD 50. Following a successful exam, participants will receive an Attestation of Achievement as proof of mastery understanding of the content. Upon completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to avail of a 50% discount on the IOF Advanced Course on Osteoporosis.

This program is ideal for clinicians, trainees, and healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of osteoporosis and interpretation of DXA scans. We encourage you to share about this with your colleagues and networks. We look forward to your participation!

Cancellation policy:

Should the course be cancelled by APCO, we will reimburse every registered participant fully.
